Darts king Taylor eyes Premier League crown after Power sheds a stone

Phil ‘the Power’ Taylor is fit and ready for the start of the Premier League Darts season after losing a stone in weight since his early exit from the PDC World Darts Championship in December.

The Premier League kicks off in Manchester on Thursday night and Taylor will be keen to quickly banish any lingering memories of his second round exit to Dave Chisnall at Alexandra Palace.

Taylor reveals in the documentary how he has struggled with weight issues throughout his life, but he is now fighting fit after teaming up with personal nutritionist Laura Church.

‘When you are on the road playing darts you don’t realise you are putting weight on.

‘You are eating late at night, don’t take notice of what you are eating, have no time to exercise and not living healthy all leads to putting on weight without noticing,’ he said.
