World champion Phil “The Power” Taylor stars in lifestyle documentary showing how he lost five stones in 2012, and how it helped improve his form on the oche.
After winning his 16th world title, darts superstar Phil “The Power” Taylor reveals for the first time how he has shed a massive five stones in 2012 and how his weight loss has helped him regain his form.
Taylor reveals in the Active Channel documentary Fit Britain: Phil Taylor how losing weight has helped him regain his form on the oche.
“Having losing the weight I have found that my form has come back,” Taylor explained.
“I am feeling a whole lot better, I have more energy throughout the day and my overall posture has improved”.
Taylor goes on to say: “I have always had a bad posture but since working out with weights and doing my cardio, I have found that I am able to align myself more effectively which has improved my overall gameplay”.
The Stoke thrower has put his change of fortunes down to his new healthy regime which has seen him lose 2½ stone in just three months.
The Power said: “Since starting my healthy eating plan with nutritionist Laura Church my mental alertness has increased which I found has improved my overall concentration and game.

Phil ‘the Power’ Taylor is fit and ready for the start of the Premier League Darts season after losing a stone in weight since his early exit from the PDC World Darts Championship in December.
The Premier League kicks off in Manchester on Thursday night and Taylor will be keen to quickly banish any lingering memories of his second round exit to Dave Chisnall at Alexandra Palace.
Taylor reveals in the documentary how he has struggled with weight issues throughout his life, but he is now fighting fit after teaming up with personal nutritionist Laura Church.
‘When you are on the road playing darts you don’t realise you are putting weight on.
‘You are eating late at night, don’t take notice of what you are eating, have no time to exercise and not living healthy all leads to putting on weight without noticing,’ he said.
